The use of personal information

Gertosio follows the strict procedures required by the EU directive 95/46/UE (encompassed in Italy by the law known as D.L. 30/06/2003 n.196) for the treatment and storage of your personal data and for the protection of the consumer regarding online contracts, covered by the directive 97/7/CE (in Italy the D.L. 22/05/1999, n.185).
Giorgio Gertosio society Gertosio sas is responsible for the enforcement of the above-mentioned Act on behalf of Gertosio. The data is processed via paper-based or electronic means and is managed and transmitted in an access-controlled environment.
The interested party may, at any time and by contacting Customer Services, access his personal data, update, correct and integrate the details and generally exercise his rights as provided for in article 7 of the Italian Act D.L. 196/2003.
Personal information required for the purchase of and payment for goods are subject to the laws on the treatment of data. The personal information is communicated to suppliers of the goods and the delivery company with the sole purpose of fulfilling the order placed. The information is used for internal marketing purposes (the communication of promotional offers); the interested party can at any time opt out of receiving these messages by contacting our Customer Services.

As this is the case, the provision of such data is compulsory; if the data is not provided then the order cannot be processed. The provision of non-compulsory information allows for a better quality of service and the provision of notification of special offers. At the moment of registration, the data used for the free delivery of the newsletter is also subject to the treatment of personal data. Payment

Pasticceriagertosio.it accepts the following credit cards: Visa (non Electron), Mastercard, American Express. It is also possible to pay by bank transfer.

ONLINE PAYMENT by CREDIT CARD

The payment is instantly verified by the bank and the order is processed immediately.

OFFLINE PAYMENT by BANK TRANSFER

In this case the order is processed as soon as notification has been received from the bank of the transfer having taken place. In exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of pasticceriagertosio.it, an order can be processed on receipt of a fax of proof of payment. For this method of payment the time required for confirmation from the bank is approximately ten working days

Consumer Protection and Refunds

All of our products are covered by guarantee for defect or imperfection. Any such defect must be brought to our attention by sending a registered letter to Pasticceria Gertosio sas within 10 days of receipt of the product. At pasticceriagertosio.it’s discretion the product will be either replaced at our expense by an equivalent product or the customer will be reimbursed in full for the product. All our customers have the right to recede from the contract according to article 5 of the D.L 22 May 1999, n. 185. This Act allows for the return of the product, within 10 days of receipt of the product and by registered post to pasticceriagertosio.it in order to obtain the replacement of the product by another or the refund of the amount paid. The only expenses to be paid are those for delivery. The right to a refund is applicable only to goods which have not been tampered with and cannot be extended to products which by their very nature cannot be returned or risk rapid change or deterioration.
